Thank you for your interest in the Transportation Enhancements Excellence Certificate (TEEC). The TEEC offers a way for great Transportation Enhancement (TE) projects to get the national recognition they deserve and to promote best practices. To learn more about the Transportation Enhancement program, please visit the TE Basics page.
A few things to keep in mind as you consider nominating a project:
- Anyone can complete the application for a TE project. If you are not affiliated with one of the project sponsors, however, you will need to secure the endorsement of at least one of
the project sponsors.
- The project must be a verified TE project (you can check the TE Project list) and must be completed in order to qualify. Every nomination will be reviewed by the Department of Transportation for the state in which it is located.
- Projects do not need to be 100% TE funded. Projects receiving any amount of TE funding can be nominated, but you must make clear what aspects were TE funded.
There is a rolling deadline for applications, and applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. If you'd like your review expedited for any reason, please contact the NTEC Program Assistant. Once your application is approved, the names of the project and the project sponsor, as well as a description of the project, will be added to the list of TEEC recipients. Both you and the project sponsor(s) will receive a Certificate of Excellence.
Prior to beginning the application, you may wish to review the Frequently Asked Questions.
