The Churchill Hotel offers valet parking for $28/day or $37 including overnight. There are also commercial parking garage options.

Getting Around

  • Metrorail and Metrobus

  • The hotel and the Dupont Circle station of the Metro Red Line are both located on Connecticut Avenue. It is approximately a 10-minute walk in between them. The hotel is north of Dupont Circle.

Getting To/From DC

  • National Airport (DCA) is the closest, and we strongly recommend it. This airport is conveniently connected to the city by Metrorail. During peak hours, the subway fare from the airport to Dupont Circle is $2.25. Off-peak fare is only $1.35.

  • Dulles Airport (IAD) is on the border of Fairfax and Loudoun Counties, VA. A taxi ride from Dulles to the hotel will be $50 - $60 one way, not including tip.

  • Baltimore-Washington Airport (BWI) is connected to the city by MARC train service. Please note this train runs only on weekdays and has a limited schedule. Allow time to take a shuttle from the airport to the MARC station. The MARC will take you to Union Station in DC, from which you can take a taxi (approximately $10) or Metrorail (peak fare $1.65) to Dupont Circle. A taxi from BWI to Dupont Circle would be over $100, so this is not recommended. There is also bus service ($3.10 bus fare + $3.85 peak rail fare) from the airport to Metrorail, but this typically takes at least 2 hours including transfers.

  • Amtrak provides train service from a number of other U.S. cities to Union Station in DC. We recommend considering Amtrak as an alternative to flying from relatively nearby cities such as New York or Philadelphia.
